Bust the Mansion Slots

Bust the Mansion Slots

An enjoyable aspect of slots is the opportunity to lead various lives with a sprinkle of imagination vicariously. Similar to the TV show Quantum Leap, in which the protagonist thrusts through spacetime and dwells within others' bodies until he resolves the matter at hand and leaps into the next life, players can take on some rather dubious characters in slots, like robbers, cat burglars, or however else the studio might want to brand them. There's quite a tradition of characters like this.

What’s it about?

The Mansion has 5 reels and a fairly popular setup with 25 active lines. Bust the Mansion has a setting that's all about sharing and caring. It's hard to put a finger on it, but for some reason, a not-so-light Bust the Mansion strongly echoes many great old slots. I'm going for an unfashionably retro look, maybe Pulse 8's master plan. Bust the Mansion might be going for a retro feel for a slightly unpredictable hold-and-win game with a decent return and old-fashioned looks.

Game Theme

It looks like a billionaire’s Mansion, and it’s the target of a robbery. The thieves are going after valuable artifacts that are stored inside. Bust the Mansion looks like it came out long ago, with features to match. Not much of the mansion is visible, mainly stairways and windows. Given that the game deals in objets d'art, Push Gaming's Mystery Museum came to mind, but an even more basic version with no intricately designed graphics or imaginative gameplay. Instead, Bust the Mansion came off as old before its time, though that was the point.

Payouts and Symbols

While the initial set of Royals is not so impressive, the top symbols of the game deliver images of Horus statues, pieces of artifacts, and bottles. Wilds and Cash symbols are what give us the feature triggers. Turning to the paytable unveils nine regular symbols that pay out, and surprisingly brings to light five not-so-great ones and four that are pretty good at paying out. Card rank symbols, from 10 to A, styled in an exotic-ish manner, are our low-paying symbols. They are worth 1 to 2 times your stake for a complete five-of-a-kind win compared to some of the other symbols you'll see in the game, not even close to what they're worth. Now, let's step it up a notch. If you thought that was stepping it up, you haven't seen the Ming vases yet. Or the type of symbols that make you question where you are looking when it comes to the next thing on display, the Faberge Eggs, which are undoubtedly more valuable than what they bring you when you line up five of them in a row. The wild symbol in this game, however, pays out handsomely.

Wild Symbol

The Wild logo is prominent in this game, with the substituting symbol easy to come by. Count on it, next to regulars, to form new lines of wins. But don’t count on it to do the job of the feature symbol. Never mind the rest; it is a pretty impressive stand-in, considering that its combinations can pay up to 400 times your stake. That is, if five wilds combine, which seems like a lot, but hey, it’s a wild world.

Re-Spins Bonus

The bonus money vault icons, the great Link and Win symbols, and the grand Money Vaults will appear anywhere on your game panel with a fixed value. You'll find that the Link and Win feature activates when you get at least six symbols to appear in full view. When it starts, the vault symbols in view stay put, and re-spins are yours. After your game starts, the Vault symbols will stay on your reels, and the re-spins will return to their original amount. The vault features end when all symbols have completed their cycle, and then the vault will pay out its fixed amount, along with whatever regular symbols are involved, and 4 different bonus conditions.

Free Spins Bonus

Receiving the golden key scatter symbols earns the player free spins, proportional to the number of keys received. While the player is spinning free, the middle reel, or reel number 3, is not what it seems. Only the great wild money vault icons will land on your reel. Those not-so-free vault symbols help trigger the Link and Win feature and substitute for any pay symbol that isn’t a scatter. And guess what? The players can hit again and again, earning re-trigger after re-trigger.

Wrap-Up

There’s not much to comment on regarding the characteristics since everything is standard fare. One oddity is the crazy money vault symbol stack in free spins, which could entice players into the Link and Win bonus round. Once there, however, it’s business as usual. Get lucky with the random number generator, and win yourself a bonus prize. The jackpot for filling the reels is decent, so a lackluster, straightforward re-spin round offers the potential to win a meaty prize.
